Mom's infection has caused a slight difficulty breathing. They put the breathing tube back in to aid her in breathing while she fights the infection.
They have not received any results from the cultures.
The good news is that her brain is right where they want her to be. Now we just need to fight the secondary infections.
If you are considering coming to visit... please make sure you are feeling well. The worst thing we can do is pass on germs to mom. I can not stress that enough.
They have increased the antibiotics to try and help her fight until they determine what type of infection she has.

ReplyDeleteI just wanted to drop a little line of encouragement. I finished reading all of the updates on Mona, and I wanted to send a note letting you know that I was reading and praying for all of you, but I didn't know quite how to say what I was trying to say!...Now I know why. I went on to do a little morning studying and came across an old journal entry from few months ago. The entry was centered around Psalms 40:1-5 and something new jumped out at me. I felt like the "new song" was Mona's but even more than that,"Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord" I feel this entire situation is touching more and bringing more people to Christ than you all will ever know. And will continue to do so for many years to come.
Our prayers go out to You and Sonya. TJ and I were in that place not too long ago with TJ's dad and his battle with Leukemia, isn't God wonderful to give us a spouse to lean on.
Let Mona know we love her....
