Sorry for taking so long to update. It has been a busy couple of days.
Mom is doing very well. The pressure in her brain has been stable without the ventricular drains. This is great.
Her breathing is steady and getting stronger.
Heart rate is normal and regular.
Temperature is stable.
The nurse I spoke with this afternoon believes that she will be moving to an intermediate room. Mom does not have many ICU issues remaining as she is getting stronger and more stable everyday.
Will keep you posted.

Hi Stephen & Mona,
ReplyDeleteI visited Yaya in Phoenix last week, and my Dad and sister flew down as well from MA. Just found out on email from my Mom a day or two ago that Mona was in the hospital. I will be praying for you. Stephen, it's so good that you're in Houston & able to care for your Mom. I pray that God gives you strength & hope & patience. It's good to hear about the slow but steady improvements in your Mom. I remember when I'd broken my ankle she drove right into Houston and showed up at my friend's (1st floor) dorm where I was staying - I never knew how she found it, but she did. Your family was always so good to me-
with love, Megan
